2022 HSC Highlights

OVERALL RESULTS

  • 5% of SCC students achieved an ATAR of over 95
  • 16% of SCC students achieved an ATAR of over 90
  • 23% of SCC students achieved an ATAR of over 85
  • 30% of SCC students achieved an ATAR of over 80
  • 49% of SCC students achieved an ATAR of over 70
  • Our highest ATAR was 98.45
  • 1 student achieved a top 100 ranking in course
  • 19 students (out of 86) achieved at least one Band 6/E4 which equates to 22% of all students.
  • 3 students achieved at least 4 Band 6’s in all their courses of study
  • 3 students achieved at least 3 Band 6’s in all their courses of study
  • 44 Band 6’s/E4’s was achieved in all subjects studied
  • 20 (out of 30) subjects achieved at least one Band 6/E4
  • 23 (out of 30) subjects were above the state average
  • 78% of students studying extension courses achieved a mark of at least 80% in their course
  • Average ATAR for all SCC students was 72.66

Highest ATARS

  1. Congratulations to Christian Hazim who achieved our highest ATAR of 98.45
  2. 2nd highest ATAR Catherine Haddad with 98.00
  3. 3rd highest ATAR Salim with 97.70
  4. These are exceptional results and extremely well-deserved.

Top Achievers in Course List

The following student gained a place in the Top Achievers in Course List in 2022 (placing in the top 100 students in the State in their different subjects):

  • Salim Chidiac (Studies of Religion 1) – 35th in the State

SCC Outstanding overall results

Our school mean, per unit, was 37.75 out of 50 (which means that the average mark received by SCC students in the HSC was 75.5 out of 100, gained across all courses). 

Band 6 results (marks over 90) or equivalents in extension courses were achieved in 67% of all examinations sat by SCC students, in all subjects

    HSIE

  • 30% of our students achieved a mark over 90 in Studies of Religion I and 90% over 80
  • 25% of our students achieved a mark over 90 in History Extension and 100% over 80
  • 14% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in Modern History and 57% over 80
  • 8% of our students achieved a mark over 90 in Legal Studies and 33% over 80

    PDHPE

  • 4% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in PDHPE and 35% over 80
  • 3% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in PDHPE and 23% over 80

    TAS/CAPA

  • 50% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in Visual Arts and 100% over 80
  • 50% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in Industrial Technology and 75% over 80
  • 33% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in Music 1 and 100% over 80
  • 33% of our students achieved a mark of over 90 in Food Technology and 62% over 80
